A Grade II-listed historic coaching inn, that closed for a time in 2008, but has since reopened again and become successful due to the joint efforts of the local community and Enterprise Inns. Good-value food is served lunchtimes and evenings, and on Sunday from noon to 3pm. Events and themed nights are held. There are two alcoved fireplaces, with wood-burning stoves. There is also a large upstairs function room, and large beer garden. Families and dogs are welcome. One guest ale from a south-west brewery. In winter the pub may close in the afternoon. Open 10-12 for breakfast except Sundays.
