After lengthy closure, The Golden Grove was bought by restauranteur Simon Wright and opened as gastro-pub/delicatessen. Real cider & bottled conditioned beer as well as wine are routinely available.

Historic Interest

This substantial old coaching inn with skittle alley was a thriving community centre in relatively recent memory. Brains bought it, and made changes; just one example a solid 18th century wooden door with wooden latch was destroyed and replaced in uPVC.
