Modern, open plan style free house, formerly the Slug & Lettuce, now named after Frank Whittle, the inventor of the jet engine, which was originally produced in Cheltenham where the Regent Arcade now stands. Major refurbishment in November 2016 in a rustic style. Menu features an impressive range of pizzas, burgers as well as many other choices. Good disabled access. Handy for pre-theatre drinks.
As of June 2025 no cask ale and hand pumps removed. Craft keg only.
