A proper community local overlooking the green. The main slate-floored room is heated by a solid fuel stove with separate games and dining rooms serviced from the central bar. Local memorabilia adorns the walls. Children's playground in large beer garden. Sunday lunch available and antique shop on premises. Campervans are welcome. Evening and Sunday bus services are limited. Opens at 4pm in the winter, earlier in the summer.

No allocated blue badge space in carpark. Entry to the pub and bar is almost flat. The accessible toilet is not sign posted, it is accessed up a gentle ramp through a pair of double doors from the carpark. Corridors are a bit narrow so a powered wheelchair would not get through. The rear of the pub has a 15cm step between the bar level and the toilets, hence the garden/carpark access. Landlord and wife happy to answer any questions about accessibility.
