Cosy, and very welcoming, two-roomed pub with open fires and a piano in the lounge where local groups and enthusiasts meet for a folk night on Thursday. The bar is popular with the local darts and dominoes team. Prints of horse racing adorn the walls, along with plates depicting hunting scenes. Very good value excellent food is available with nightly ’themes’ and deals. It must have one of the longest list of dessert offerings of any pub even much bigger. Apparently all the work of the landlady’s mum – temptation by the bucketful.”
