A lovely building, dating from 17th Century standing in at least an acre of leafy grounds at the edge of Sharlston Common.

Close by is Sharlston Old Hall dating from 16th Century, said to be haunted by a benevolent ghost. In 1948 Sharlston Old Hall was condemned due to mining subsidence.
