Situated in a back street parallel to the quay, this small traditional pub has one bar but is full of both local character and local characters. There is be a range of up to four real ales available on handpump, and this can be supplemented by a real cider. There is a pleasant beer garden at the rear. Bar skittles is played as well as other traditional games and the pub is home to the infamous Winkle club.
