The Wharf is a pub and entertainments venue lying at the heart of a historic complex of canal basins.
The pub makes good use of an original Canal Company warehouse, dating from 1771, which was converted in 2015 into a pub, music and events venue.
Music and entertainments are staged at weekends. Outside, there is seating overlooking the basins.
Enter through the main door into a small lobby area and the bar. Doors open to an impressive main room, with high curved brick walls extending right up to the high rafters above. It is dominated by the stage, with comfortable seating surrounding a dance floor. Stairs lead up to a small balcony.

Historic Interest
Built for the opening of the canal in 1771 and retaining features that display its long and varied uses over 250 years. Goods facilities, of which the building was a part, grew at the Severn terminus of the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal, which opened in 1768. Prior to this there had been no town on the site, just a hamlet known as Mitton. Sold and converted for contemporary use whilst retaining historic features.
