Situated on the main crossroads in Sketty, the "Vivs" is a spacious, traditional style pub which offers reasonably priced meals, including a Sunday lunch. There is live music on Fridays, a general knowledge quiz Sundays and music quiz Wednesdays. At busier times, a guest ale is available in addition to the three regular beers. Cask ales are at a reduced price on Mondays.

Temporary step free access is available by prior arrangement, and there is an accessible toilet. Step free access is via a tarmac ramp at the (Gower Rd) end of the pub, through a patio area, and the staff will put a temporary wooden ramp through double doors into the pub. So advance contact (or another person to go in first to speak to staff) is recommended.
Both main entrance doors have a large single step into the pub. Inside it is multi-level with step free access around the large bar and to the accessible toilet (key at the bar) at the end of the room. But a large part of the seating area is up four steps (with handrails) with another smaller part (and the pool room) up single steps.
