Tracing its routes back to the early 1930s, the club took over the former Sanctuary Tea Rooms in 1956, although it has been substantially extended over the years. Currently 600 strong, the club usually has entertainment every other Saturday evening and might be a quiz, race night, disco, live music or bingo. All visitors must be signed in by a member (there is a small charge to visit).
