Recently refurbished with plush carpeting and contemporary decor, this large imposing 17th century hotel nestles on the banks of the River Trent. It is open plan, but with strategically placed pillars it has been given the look of separate areas. Food is served all day. Breakfast Service 7-10.30 daily. Accommodation consists of 14 rooms.

Historic Interest

Recorded in 1832 as the Ferry House, the landlord was one Thomas Marriott, who was also listed as both a miller and a maltster (White).

In 1855, the pub was known as the Unicorn Ferry House, fully licensed premises under S. Marriott and in 1876, the publican was Robert Thomas (Post Office Directories).
