Built in 1567 as a coaching inn, The Turks was one of the first licensed premises in England. Today it's still a traditional English pub, real ale and a friendly atmosphere, now nestling alongside the London Road bus lane and is much larger inside than you might expect.

There is a decent selection of no/lo-alcohol options.

Small step onto the deck at the front of the pub, this has a small concrete slope. From the deck there is a small step down into the pub. There is a ramp between the two sections of the pub. Unfortunately there is no accessible toilet.
