Large distinctive brick built free house, set slightly off the main road on a hillside at the end of the village. A large side room holds the bar, which is decorated with new green booth seating and some traditional wooden furniture, which with the large wooden bar gives the room a comfortable and cosy feeling. There is an alcove at the rear with the games area. It was undergoing continual refurbishment at the time of the August 2023 visit and they plan to offer food from a separate restaurant area when complete. Bingo is hosted on Thursday & Sunday evenings.

History: The name of the pub refers to the nearby Rhondda and Swansea Bay Railway Tunnel, which runs between Blaengwynfi in the Afon Valley and Blaencwm in the Rhondda Valley and at 3,443 yards (3,148m) in length is the longest railway tunnel in Wales. It closed in 1968 and the ends were filled in 1979. There are plans to reactivate it as a cycling and walking route.
