The exterior boasts a part thatched roof and the interior is a tasteful mix of old and new features. It is a typical example of a Vintage Inns country pub and restaurant, although the comfortable seated area opposite the bar welcomes both drinkers and canine customers. The pub is a short walk from the Trent & Mersey canal. Phoning in advance is advisable if you intend to eat at the pub.
