Re-opened in at the end of June 2026 as Thomas Hardy's Irish Bar. A new survey and photo are awaited.

The description below relates to when the business was the Yard Bar & Kitchen:

A stylish, modern pub located behind the Crescent Inn & Hotel. The ground floor comprises a large open plan area, containing the main servery, with a games room and beer garden to the rear. One handpull serves a varying cask real ale. Other beers and ciders are available from the keg taps. Wines and cocktails are also offered. A smaller upstairs room contains another servery and there is an outside terrace area to the rear. The decor has a rustic industrial look throughout. The menu concentrates on pizzas, and other Italian influenced food. If hiring areas for functions, the Orangery has capacity for 20-40 people, the Upper Lounge for 25-60 people and the Beer Garden for up to 30 people. The whole venue can be hired and has a 100 person capacity.
