Re-opened at the end of June 2026 as Thomas Hardy's Irish Bar. A stylish, modern pub located behind the Crescent Inn & Hotel. Formerly the Yard Bar & Kitchen, it has been decorated in an Irish style but still retains the layout and features of the former establishment. The ground floor comprises a large open plan area, containing the main servery, with a games room and beer garden to the rear. There is no cask ale. Fifteen keg taps serve Guinness, Murphy's Caffreys and other mass-produced lagers and cider. A smaller upstairs room contains another servery, with five keg taps, and there an outside roof terrace area. If hiring areas for functions, the Orangery has capacity for 20-40 people, the Upper Lounge for 25-60 people and the Beer Garden for up to 30 people.
