A traditional Victorian 'flat iron' shaped pub, the Talbot is a welcoming and popular community pub, a short walk from the town centre. Has a real fire in winter and an excellent selection of at least seven changing real ales (see Real Ale Finder), often from less locally seen breweries, all pulled from casks stored on an original stone stillage plus at least four real ciders. Amber Valley CAMRA Pub of the Year 2019 and 2022 and Cider Pub of the Year 2018.
