This is a friendly pub, triangular in shape with a comfortable interior. Victorian in origin, it is now very much a community pub, as the noticeboard and trophies clearly indicate. TV sets show a range of sports, and Thursday is now bingo night; the Facebook page is kept up to date with events. Cask ale is now limited to one, to ensure that it is served in good condition. Note that the pub may close earlier than the times shown.

Historic Interest

The Surrey Cricketers dates from 1853 and takes its name from Surrey’s strong historical links to cricket. According to Layers of London, the building in its early days was used as a carpenters and furniture dealers as well as a pub.
