Lively local, situated on the bank of the Aire & Calder Navigation. The public bar is usually busy, while the large lounge can host events. a pool room and large function room complete the facilities here. The pub fields darts, dominoes & pool teams. It was voted local CAMRA Pub of the Season Winter 2001/2/3. Outside drinking takes place in summer on the grassy canal bank. Formerly known as the Commercial, it saw the establishment of local marine insurance formed by the owners of vessels `for mutual benefit & in case of loss or damage at sea or otherwise`. A steam packet service ran Leeds-Knottingley-Goole between 1832 and 1835. The former Steam Packet micro-brewery was located here. Hours shown are those permitted by the pub's licence. Six match course fishing pegs free to drinkers, and moorings for four narrow boats

Racca Green is the shopping street just off the A645 at the Eastern end of Knottingley. The Pub is just beyond the shops by the canal bridge. It can also be reached by canal or by following local roads from Ropewalk at the side of the Town Hall
