Originally known as the Waggoners Inn, this pub was renamed in the wake of the Chartists, who were particularly vociferous between 1836 and 1854. The long narrow frontage of the building hides a cosy and quiet pub that's much appreciated by its 'locals'. The interior consists of a large single room, warmed in winter by a substantial coal tired stove. The stone floored bar area has a beamed ceiling, whilst the bar itself features wood panelling. The wide window at the rear provides stunning views across the Calder valley and towards Copley Model Village. A large screen television is also available. Tea and coffee available.
