A modern pub, by Whitby's historic standards, well supported by the local community of Stakesby.

Situated well away from the hustle and bustle of the harbour area, the Stakesby is a true community pub.

A welcome return after having been closed for 12 months.

Open Tuesday to Sunday.

Tuesday is bingo, Wednesday is quiz night, Thursday is supper night, and free of charge.

Separate games room with darts, a pool table and dominoes.

Close to Whitby Rugby Club, Whitby Museum and Pannett Park.

Virtually at the start of the cinder track, heading south following the course of the old railway line to Scarborough and taking in picturesque views of the town, the Esk Valley railway and the River Esk.

Stakesby is approx half a mile west of Whitby Rlwy Station and bus interchange.

Served by the 95 bus - Whitby to Sleights.
