Situated in Preston Village, the Sportsman pub was established in 1814 and served the thirsty miners from the adjacent Preston Colliery. Its patrons were closely linked to the "Preston Races," which inspired the pub's name. The establishment underwent a significant renovation in 1896. The bar, designed in a horseshoe layout, is adorned with numerous framed photographs from the past. A notable one reads, "Accommodation for Cyclists. Good stabling." At the back, there is a splendid patio area decorated with exceptional photographs.
