Promoted as an upmarket cocktail Bar.

Modern bar, dating from 1892 and formerly a Charrington's pub named the Round House, as still to be seen above the main door. No cask ale is available, but one draught lager is on offer on the menu.

Historic Interest

Established by 1756 as the Blue Cross, in 1862 the pub was renamed the Round House and the present building constructed in 1892. The site's main claim to fame is that in an upstairs room in 1955 the London Skiffle Club, one of the first skiffle/blues clubs, was founded. Alexis Korner became involved and, in a move to more blues music, it became the London Blues and Barrelhouse Club, which ran until 1961. For a period prior to becoming the O Bar, it was a real ale pub, named the Soho Tavern.
