Basement music and booze venue founded in 1999. "Somewhere between a modern day speakeasy and a home-from-home local". Hip-hop, karaoke, live groups, events. Upstairs there is a free workspace/cafe. Six draught keg taps plus a wide range of cocktails, wines, bottled beers; no cask ale. Food is cheap and fairly basic. Membership not necessary but if you become a member (free) the drinks are cheaper. The ground-floor bar is the public bar, gigs take place in the basement where there is another bar. A successful crowdfunding campaign in early 2019 helped save this venue from possible closure.
