Changed hands in early November 2025. Unusual that the departing owner was Simon Cruickshank and the incoming publican is also called Simon Cruickshank although they are not related in any way. It remains to be seen if there will be any change to the polcy regarding cask ale!

Built in 1771, this harbour-front hotel has a maritime themed, wood-panelled bar and a small outdoor seating area overlooking the water. The long, narrow bar boasts a mirror from the defunct Devanha Brewery as a prominent feature.

Two beers are offered, both usually from the same Scottish brewery and sometimes one from Greene King. An extensive range of malt whiskies is also stocked. A modern restaurant, with panoramic harbour views, is adjacent to the bar, with food, unsurprisingly, fish a speciality, served all day at the weekend.

Accommodation is available in eleven guest rooms. Opens at 10 am for coffee and soft drinks.
