This is a restaurant, where drinking alcohol, including draught and bottled beer, is only allowed when food is being consumed.
Re-opened as Le Secret Garden on 5 November 2025, a high-end restaurant serving seasonal Mediterranean inspired dishes using locally sourced British produce.
Bought out of community-ownership by a local French couple in February 2020, The former Plough pub was rebadged as La Table D'Alix, and essentially became an upmarket French restaurant, just a short distance from the M40 which closed in September 2025.
It had previously been extended and refurbished during 2013 and exudes charm, and a cosy and friendly atmosphere, with a thatched roof and lots of exposed original stonework and beams. There is a large, enclosed outdoor eating/drinking area in the garden at the back.
