Historic Grade II listed inn in a picturesque village off the A64 close to Eden Camp military museum. At the front of the pub is a cosy snug, to the rear is a larger room with original beams (complete with brasses) and a log fire, leading to an extensive beer garden with a large covered smoking area. Traditional home-cooked meals are available with Pie Night on Thursdays. Some of the dishes reflect the landlord's South African origins. The Sunday Bingo Quiz night is popular. Children and dogs are welcome. The bus stops directly outside.
Real cider is available occasionally, typically during and after the beer festivals.
