No website available

Large, privately-owned, friendly free-house, dating back to the mid-19th-century. Unfortunately, real ale was withdrawn several years ago due to 'lack of demand'. Internally, there is a basic public bar with a central brick pillar, and a comfortable lounge. The Royal Oak Boxing Club was formed here (Jack Bodell was a member) and was based upstairs. The club still exists but now meets elsewhere.
