The pub opened after a major refurbishment in September 2014. It was then in a modern style, offering food all day and up to three changing real ales; however, the handpumps disappeared and, at the time of writing (December 2025), no food was available (and the tenancy was up for grabs). The areas are games room, bar areas including a seated area near and at the bar with bar stools. The former main food area is up a short level but disabled access is available. TV showing both Sky and BT sports channel and free wifi. The pub has recently installed three handpumps, two of which dispensing Timothy Taylors beers.
