Large family friendly, food pub set on the main road through the village. There are two Bar and Lounge areas to the front with a larger conservatory Lounge Restaurant at the back, which has French doors leading out to a pretty beer garden and overlooking the valley. All rooms are comfortably furnished with a traditional wooden décor and are served by a central bar (the rear lounge being served via a serving hatch).

No real ale is available on handpump, but some bottled ales are usually available.

This pub is popular for its food especially for its busy Sunday lunches (which has two sittings of Noon and 2pm with takeaways available). At the time of last visit (April 2026) food was not available due to illness, so it is advisable to book ahead for this.
