An 18th century country pub overlooking Peppard Common with a focus on good food, serving 4 real ales, 2 from Loose Cannon and 2 others from a range of local breweries.
Indoor seating for up to 40 and up to 70 in the heated stretch tent and a large beer garden.
The Red Lion reopened in July 2022 following a major refurbishment which has converted the pub to a single room (from the original three) and the toilets have been replaced.
Previously a Brakspear pub, it closed on 31st Dec 2019 with the Brakspear pub co looking for new tenants. It was then subsequently sold to the current owners, who have links with Laithwaites Wine and Loose Cannon brewery.
The pub is near to the location used for the film "Howards End" and also has a history that suggests a hostelry on the site since the middle ages The Red Lion
