New owners in 2018 have maintained the real ale selection and cider festival while beginning sympathetic refurbishment, including the addition of a new lounge bar in late 2019. Summer opening 16:00 Mon-Thu rather than 17:00. Tendring CAMRA Pub of the Year 2020
