Situated in the middle of town the Mexican themed Prickly Pear is a food orientated 2022 re-imagining of the Grade II listed Bruton Castle. The Castle hosted an eclectic mix of music, film and comedy events.

The Prickly Pear closed again in Sep 2023 due to major structural problems with the building and reopened in Jan 2026.

Included in the The Times “45 best summer pubs for summer” in July 2023
