Historic Interest

Building work started on this site on the proposed Devonshire Park Hotel in 1880 but the licence was refused. Became the Prenton Hotel from at least 1887. Birkenhead Brewery built a pub on the site and opened the Prenton Park on 11 December 1930. Serving Whitbread beers into the 1980s.
