New tenants took over the pub in February 2025.

In the heart of Crondall, this is a lovely traditional village pub, with loads of character. A large L-shaped front bar, with a wide variety of foreign banknotes attached to the beams. There is also a quiet atmospheric rear room. There is a secluded patio at the rear of the pub as well as tables at the front, adjacent to the road.

Historic Interest

Thought to be one of the oldest pubs in Hampshire and Oliver Cromwell is reputed to have stayed here in October 1645 on his way to Basing House.
