18th century former coaching house and blacksmiths shop which re-opened in August 2024. Sister pub of The Ale Gate in Alnwick. The main bar is entered from the car park and a large lounge is shared with the adjoining Running Fox bakery cafe which serves snacks and meals daytime even when the pub is shut.
