Based in the heart of The Pantiles, The Philanthropist is a local independent café and bar where you can grab a strong coffee, a pot of tea, or a sweet pastry. It is also a craft bar, serving local, ultra-low carbon, freshly brewed beers on draught from Fonthill Brewing Co. Currently they are serving Good Morning Captain, Fonthill Lager, or Band Meeting, hand-crafted less than a mile up the road as well as Pilot, a cider from local cidery, Ascension.
