17th-century inn thought to be highest in Berkshire, fine Southern views, garden to the North. Cosy public traditional bar area greets you on entering from large western car park. Favoured by the racing fraternity, it screens live races on TV. Photographs and cartoons of horses and jockeys decorate the walls.Eleven en-suite rooms and new restaurant have been added. Seasonal local food throughout the year, featuring seafood and game. Menu changed twice daily; booking is advisable.
