The town's oldest pub is near the historic St Illtyd's Church and opposite the town hall. It has a popular front bar and a modern restaurant at the back; both of which serve excellent food and an ever-changing range of up to four ales, often sourced from local breweries. Beer festivals are held in spring and summer, featuring local live bands. A Weekly quiz is held on Tuesday evening and Steak night on Wednesday. The town car park is nearby.
