Spacious, imposing community pub, thought to be the only pub in the country with its own cricket practice nets, regularly used in spring/summer and available to book. The upstairs games room was refurbished in 2023 with a tournament grade cloth pool table. Terrace doors lead onto an elevated sun-trap garden with a large shelter to accommodates the vagaries of the British weather. A third beer from the Wadworth range sometimes supplements the two listed. There is a large selection of board games and an open fire. Live music, including a Tuesday jam night, and DJs feature regularly
