Built as an Inn circa 1754 this is the oldest pub in the heart of Penicuik old town. A community local, it is welcoming to both locals and visitors. A Lounge and Public Bar are separated by a central bar, and there is an open fire. Cask beer was re-introduced in 2025, and the single handpump is proving very popular.
