Perhaps the remotest pub in Sunderland and situated on the banks of the River Wear. Run by a very friendly landlady, the pub has a cosy u shaped bar and a sun trap of a garden that is larger than the pub. Vehicle access is from the A183 (sign posted Offerton) or there is parking on the other side of a footbridge over the river . The nearest bus stop is about 20 minute walk in Teal Farm, Washington
