A welcoming village pub with a spacious public bar, usually offering beers from both Colchester and Mighty Oak breweries and two guest ales. A separate restaurant offers Thai food Wed eve and from noon until 3pm and from 6pm until 9pm Thu-Fri and all day Sat. There is a traditional roast offering from noon to 5pm on Sun. One draught cider is usually available as well as an extensive range of whiskies and gins. See website for details of their many culinary and alcohol-themed social events. Card-carrying CAMRA members receive a 10p per pint discount. Darts. Dogs welcome. Beer garden.
