Long-established pub with student deals. Popular with football and rugby fans on match days. Large open-plan interior: bar across the front with bare boarded floors; lounge area right and rear with panelled walls. Numerous sports TVs. Enclosed patio-garden at the back with a marquee. Indian food is served Tuesday-Sunday evenings. No real ale.

Historic Interest

Formerly a Leicester Brewing & Malting house, it passed to Ansells Brewery (Birmingham) in the 1950s.
