Friendly local close to the Trent & Mersey Canal. Attractive semi-detached building (linked to garage) with three bay windows fronting the road. Front door leads to glass-panelled entrance lobby and thence into a large open-plan single room with some dividing glass panels. Food now limited to sandwiches. Live entertainment (live music, disco/karaoke, or comedian) around twice a month; always on last Saturday of month. Pub hosts two football teams and a poker league. Popular with canal users and with Burton Albion supporters on match days (Pirelli Stadium about 1km distant). Accompanied children are welcome.
