Reopened in October 2024 following its closure in May 2022. Floorboards throughout. Bare brick and plaster behind bar. Selected pints £4 Weekdays noon-5pm and Sundays 5-9pm.

This is how it had been in 2022 - the music theme very much continues.

After months closed, the pub reopened as Nambucca. Live music venue. The manager (actually franchisee) is from the Great Northern Railway Tavern, but this won't be the same type of place. She will keep the Nambucca name and the music orientation, in the belief that they have a loyal following, but it is clearly now a pub as well. Other things like food are still in the pipeline, it's early days.

Historic Interest

Local Listing:- c.1880s corner pub, three storeys, stock brick with stucco dressings. Heavy stucco cornice, architraved sash windows, first floor segmented arched, second floor roundarched - all with stucco keystones and bracketed sills. Good Victorian pub front.
