Entering the Mitre (mind your head) is to experience a pub that really knows its role in life. The welcome is warm; there are armchairs in the bar and the beer is sourced both locally and nationally. Flagged floors extend from the bar area to the dining room: well-behaved children are welcome. New owner has completely changed the outside elevated garden area, and refurbished much of the interior. His wife provides an increasing amount of her beer at the pub (Apex Brewery.)
