Pleasant ex Burts Brewery waterfront pub, geared up for the family with a large extension facing the sea. However the interior of the pub is surprisingly unspoilt. Good facilities for the disabled. The bar is a mecca for anglers who can nip in for a crafty one while fishing off the sea wall just a few feet away. May have Shipyard, American Summer Ale on tap. Worth a visit just to see the glass fronted beer machine. Closed Monday winter and may close earlier on cold, wild nights. 1 Ale in the winter with 2-3 during the summer. Sunday pm music fortnightly. Food 11-3 during week and to 7 in winter

A report in October 2019 said real ale and the glass fronted beer engines had gone.
