Set in an elevated position and overlooking Windermere, England’s longest and most beautiful lake, Merewood Country House Hotel dates back to 1812. The hotel has retained much of its historical charm with many of the original features lovingly restored, including the panelled hall and reception. The bar fixture is suitably grand and there are also two lounges and two restaurants.
