An outstanding free house owned by the Varty family for more than 30 years. Set in an attractive Georgian square it has been the recipient of many CAMRA awards being the Furness CAMRA Pub of the Year 2018, 2019 and 2023. Real ale dominates which always includes a dark beer. A mini beer festival is held every day. Two fires keep the pub warm and the bar staff are always friendly.
