The Malthouse, formally Famous George, located in the square, is one of the oldest pubs in Seaton, but has been extensively modernised in recent years. It has recently changed to focus more on food, including roast dinners on Sundays and at other times during the week. Three cask ales are often on offer; the house beer is Caledonian Edinburgh Castle. Satellite sports TV, pool, darts and occasional live music feature. There is an outside area on the other side of the road.
